That's pretty cool. Probably worth more if it stays in the crate though, no?

i want it.... but i’d take it out of the box and instantly ruin its value as a collectable....
probably best i just go find a ratty old bike on the cheap and play with that

“ I left this bike un assembled in a box for 43 years.”

Read the description on eBay, opened it up a little “up to the buyer if they want to uncrate it more”. It never occurred to me the buyer might not want to uncrate it. It is not like it is one of those toys that has a cellophane cover and you can see the toy inside. Take it out and put it on a pedestal sure, but not uncrate it? And when the new buyer shows off his motorcycle collection, “ and here is the best bike I have, a zero miles Triumph Trident” “ Isn’t the crate nice”.
I could see a museum type display pulling it out of the crate, I could see riding sparingly on the cleanest of roads and driest of days, but leaving in the box, I can’t wrap my head around that.

I mean I’ll take it, if you’re offering. I’ve got a 750cc bike from the 70s that was designed to compete with Triumph (kz750 twin). Might as well get an actual Triumph too...
